Geography: place, pattern, and human choices.

Geography is more than coloring maps. Students read physical and political maps, describe regions, and explain how climate and resources shape settlement.

Human-environment interaction is taught with examples: irrigation, terracing, flood control. Population density is a rate, so units matter. Latitude and longitude are a coordinate system — a bridge to the math classroom.
